mosier center

Mosier Center is designed as a lasting civic institution serving local residents, as well as a landmark welcoming tourists seeking Mosier Plateau’s iconic beauty. The City of Mosier and the Mosier Fire District are working together to create a joint-use emergency response and community services facility in downtown Mosier.

The building will house a full-service, 3-bay fire station, city hall offices, and a community meeting & training center. The landscape will develop the streetscape along the historic Columbia River Highway 30, including vegetated stormwater features for road runoff. West of the building will be an outdoor plaza for gathering and admiring expansive views of the Columbia River Gorge or enjoying a coffee from the cafe. Amenities will include bike parking for cyclists, plenty of seating, educational signage, public art, native & climate-adapted plantings, and circulation that ties into the Towns to Trails network being developed by Friends of the Columbia Gorge. The owners and design team are committed to developing a project that is a responsible steward of the land, targeting a building with Net Zero energy consumption and a landscape with a low-water, native, and low-maintenance footprint.
